Construction Cost: $350 million (Yr 2001 Dollar)

Mechanical Construction Cost: $30 million

The Hard Rock Hotel set the trend of the upscale resort for the new Las Vegas demographic. In addition to providing the base engineering for the hotel and casino, FEA provided the engineering for the various venues including the "shoulder to shoulder" venues such as The Joint and Baby's. Attention to the high tech finishes in these areas required ultimate engineering component integration.


Project Attributes


The scope of work on this 775,000 square foot building program included these mechanical systems:

*7,200 ton Chilled Water/Condenser Water System

*Primary/Secondary Variable Flow Pumping System for Chilled Water

*Building Automation System utilizing Direct Digital Controls

*Energy Recovery Wheel Heat Exchangers at the Air Handlers

*Enhanced Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
