The Gaylord Texan is one of the mostunique convention resort hotels in the world, from its sprawling 1,850 rooms overlooking the six acre glass atrium to the upscale convention facilities. Innovation in the mechanical design included an approach to air conditioning in the atrium utilizing air jets instead of extensive ductwork. Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling was used to verify the performance.
